Much needed. Thank you!!
I read both Tomi Adeyemi's books. 10/10 would recommend. Amazing!!! Best books I've read.
Hey sis, please do another book recommendation video. In search of some good reads. Thank you❤
My first time reading anything from Octavia Butler was Kindred I didn't like it as much but I plan on re-reading it later this year as well as the Graphic novel version, however, i did pick up "Seed to Harvest" series which contains all the novels in the "Wild Seed" series Just for this month's Blackathon Read-a-Thon.
I do like Akata Witch and I want to re-read it again before reading the second book. I'm not a fan of Harry Potter but it's like the Nigerian Version of that. I've learned more about Nigerian culture and Mythology than I had with just my few Nigerian friends I love it. The way she turns disabilities into a positive as it relates to people's powers is so beautiful I just had my hand over my heart most of the time listening to the audiobook. Nnedi also has another AfroFuturism book trilogy called Binti it's a short read for all of them, I'm currently reading the first book of the series and it will be my personal introduction to Afro-Futurism.
Wild Seed was my first Octavia Butler; read it sometime around 1985, and then went back and read the entire Patternist series. I really love the Xenogenesis/Lillith's Brood series. Given the way the world is going these days, I think everyone should read the Parable duology. Ms. Butler left us far too soon.
Thank you so much I will be reading blood and bone did you read binti by Nnedi okorafor
