For anyone who craves stories that pulse with the raw energy of the city, the complexities of relationships, and the often brutal realities of life on the margins, my collection of favorite urban fiction novels offers a potent escape. These books don’t just tell stories; they immerse you in a world where ambition clashes with morality, love intertwines with LIES, and survival is both a skill and an art form.
At the forefront of my love for this genre are the dynamic duo Ashley and JaQuavis. Their mastery of weaving intricate plots and crafting characters that are both flawed and fiercely compelling is unmatched. “The Trophy Wife” is a prime example of their brilliance. From the outset, the title hints at a facade, and the novel delivers on that promise, peeling back layers of deception to expose the true cost of wealth and the desperate measures people will take to maintain appearances. It’s a masterclass in suspense, with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat, questioning who to trust until the very last page. You can feel the opulent yet dangerous world they’ve created, where every glint of gold might hide a lurking shadow.
Complementing their work, Ashley Antoinette also shines with her distinctive voice. “Love Burn” is a title that immediately sets a tone of passion and potential danger. Antoinette’s storytelling is often characterized by its unflinching exploration of relationships under extreme pressure. “Love Burn” is no exception. It delves into the fiery intensity of love that can both build and destroy, exploring the magnetic pull between characters, the sacrifices they make, and the inevitable consequences of choices made in the heat of the moment. This book captures the raw emotion and the often-painful lessons learned when the heart is in control of the mind.
Returning to the formidable Ashley and JaQuavis, “Dirty Money” is another powerhouse from their repertoire. As the title suggests, this novel dives headfirst into the world of wealth, power, and the morally ambiguous paths people take to acquire and retain it. It’s a story that’s as much about the allure of money as it is about the corruption it can breed. The intricate connections between characters, the rise and fall of fortunes, and the constant undercurrent of betrayal make “Dirty Money” a captivating read that stays with you long after you turn the final page. They have a knack for showing how deeply embedded the pursuit of wealth can become in a character’s identity and their relationships.
Finally, Alana’s “Loving You Feels So Right” presents a different, yet equally captivating facet of urban fiction. While the title suggests a smoother, more romantic narrative, Alana ensures that even within the realm of love, the complexities and challenges of urban life are never far from the surface. This book likely explores the emotional landscape of falling in love amidst adversity, the balancing act of personal desires with external pressures, and the inherent beauty and struggle found in deep connection. It’s a reminder that even in the toughest environments, love can be a powerful force, though its journey is rarely simple.
Collectively, these books represent the best of what urban fiction has to offer: compelling narratives, characters you’ll root for and sometimes fear, and explorations of themes that are both universally relatable and distinctly urban. Ashley and JaQuavis provide the intricate plotting and high-stakes drama, Ashley Antoinette offers the burning emotion and relational depth, and Alana brings the heartfelt explorations of love within challenging circumstances. They are a testament to the enduring power of storytelling to reflect the vibrant, unpredictable, and ultimately human experience of life in the concrete jungle.

I’m an author of 4 books working on my 5th now my author name is Ivan Romance
Also the name of my company, I was signed to small publisher, I got signed because the publisher love my sample work I turn in
Doing being signed to them I saw how they can control everything the publisher her name was Tracy even control my name
And I didn’t like that, she end up closing the publishing company because she was going though an divorce and couldn’t focus on me and the other authors
She release me and it was the best thing for me because I could already hustle and I’m good at networking I just needed to see what I needed to get done by myself.
I got full control now and I make pretty good money doing so, I went independent because of the money and I know my worth
I published 2018 my first book now I have 4 I got married 2021 that year I didn’t have a job i actually quite my job
In 6 months I made 45,000 dollars and was able to pay for my wedding in cash and pay for my wife wedding rings.
Now my books pay a lot of my bills and buy me clothes and shoes and pay for my dinner dates.. if I had to signed with a major pub I would want a partnership and the deal will have to make since cause owning my books do things for me
I’m an urban author if you want to fine me type in Ivan romance on social media.

Cocaine Republic
Queens Do What They Want
Green Eyed Monster
Hot Girl Empire
Are my books 📚 also when i made mistakes with grammar working with cheap editors, now i found a good editor who is also an author as well
Learn from your mistakes that’s how you get better in this industry, also my main problem was inventory and I needed a job to help me pay bills and get inventory so I go my CDLs and became a truck driver to get me more books to sell
I plan on selling 2,000 books next summer at 20 dollars per book 📖
in due time I be selling 10,000 books a year and I be actually happy with that at the independent route
Doesn’t sound like a lot but to in independent author that’s a lot of books in money 💰
Also you have to hit these streets in person to sell your books and get your name out there travel 🧳 do it the old school way.
