Q.M Gatlin, Author of Beautiful Chaos

Q.M Gatlin, Author of Beautiful Chaos

As per her Amazon profile, Q.M was born and raised in California. Moving around often in earlier childhood years; inspired the creation of portraits within the mind as personal solace. Growing up in different environments over time, gave this Author a wide range perspective on many topics; from there an eclectic taste in , music & art was developed.

Experiencing a number of plays & shows in the theatre ignited the idea of creating stories, poetry & presentations that not only presented words, but painted a visual in the mind much like the lyrics of music. With a passion for inspiring change Q.M decided to take up writing as another form of solace with the goal of sharing it with others.

Q.M Gatlin is an independent publishing author. Reading and creative spaces are where this author takes mental repose; with the goal of igniting this in others.

I posed my Author questionnaire to Q.M Gatlin and these are here responses.

1. What inspired you to write this particular book? What was the spark or catalyst that got the or idea flowing?
~ Growing up I would write poetry in school & in my spare time. I was inspired to write this book because I realized that often times we experience a range of events & or emotions while having trouble communicating it into words. I wanted to create something that spoke about some of the topics in life through an art form. The greatest part is there are added prompts as a self guide to complete at your own pace. A way to decompress. I even encourage readers to write & doodle in the book if they have the printed copy.

2. Can you talk about a significant challenge you faced during the writing process and how you overcame it?
~ Whew! Being an independent author was one trial & error after another. Haha. I had to learn & figure out so many small things that makes a big difference like using different fonts & heading that go into the table of contents. At one point during writing my draft, my former computer stopped working & I lost most of my work. I had to take a beat, cry it out then reset & start anew.

3. What do you hope readers will take away from your book, and what kind of discussion or impact do you envision it having?
~ I hope readers will be inspired to one follow their dreams. I also hold hope for readers to feel seen, heard & moved to practice self care.

4. How did your research (if applicable) shape the or character development? Did you discover anything unexpected or fascinating during your research?
~ This doesn’t necessarily apply to my book as it’s more catered to experiences of life & meant to be a support for self improvement, care & growth.

5. What’s next for you? Are you working on any new projects, and if so, can you give us a sneak peek?
~ I am currently working on a collaboration with a writing project. Secondly, I’m finishing up a Contemporary Urban Romance book. I’m still writing but will be happy to post some sneak peeks once closer to finishing touches. Follow Author Q.M Gatlin on instagram & facebook for updates & more.

6. Where can readers find your book?
