I. ORIGINS AND FOUNDATIONAL LORE
1. Genesis of the Kinsmen
The Kinsmen were forged in the First Cosmos by the Oversoul through the Breath of Genesis.
Originally known as the Extant, they were the progeny of the Divinities and lived in harmony with the cosmic order until the rise of the First War: The War Before Shape.
As the Symphony fractured, the Kinsmen were chosen to descend into the Second Cosmos and serve as warrior-shepherds of mortal kind.
2. Purpose and Design
Each Kinsman was imbued with a unique essence tied to one of the 21 Divine Strains of the Symphony.
They were given dominion over physical, elemental, spiritual, temporal, or psionic dimensions of reality.
Their mission: to guide humanity, battle the Destroyers, and preserve balance across time.
3. The Banishment and the Curse
After the catastrophic war known as the Bacchus, the Kinsmen were betrayed and sealed away.
A global soul-binding spell scattered their memories and identities across reincarnated mortal forms.
None could return unless all were restored. Angelique, by entering the Astral Plane, partially evaded this fate—becoming imprisoned outside the physical realm.
