Just finished A Taste Of Honey minutes ago and hopped into this review, and I 100% agree with everything you expressed!!! I'll have to try out The Sorcerer Of The Wildeeps, too!
Great review! Have you done one on sorcerer of the wildeeps?
Recently found your channel and you’re quickly becoming a new favorite. Thanks for putting out such excellent content. ❤️❤️❤️
I plan to read my first Octavia E. Butler this month
Absolutely loved The Book of Phoenix. Such a brilliant story. After I read that I bought every Nnedi Okorafor book I could find.
pls can you kindly send me the link to your Facebook page (the book club)
Have you read book 2? I can’t say anything because of spoilers but…read it. Lol. Idk if I would buy the graphic novel for this right off like I did with Kindred. I’d need to read it 1st b/c I wasn’t really impressed with Kindred. Great reviews! I need to check out Wilson.
Loved hearing your thoughts on Taste of Honey the Sorcerer of the Wildeeps! I liked Taste of Honey a little better, mostly because I loved the characters and the couple, but I agree with you on a lot of your points. I didn't fully understand what was really happening until the end of the book, but it really made me want a full length novel in this world from Kai Ashante Wilson.
I really loved Sorcerer of the Wildeeps and read that the 2nd one in the duo was more of a romance, and thought… well, I'll read it but I don't know if I'll like it. I like romance in a story but not when it's the main drive of the story, I'm more into fantasy and sci fi as the main drive of the story, but OH MAH GOSH. I loved every second of A Taste of Honey. It was gorgeous and I was a puddle of mush for most of it. I want to read more Kai Ashante Wilson.
I adore you and I experience deep joy from engaging with and listening to your book reviews. Thank you for sharing your gifts.I laughed at the dryer sounds. 😊 Love your wife Tomee
I've always felt slightly guilty for being disappointed that The Parable of the Sower has no LGBT+ content. I believe Octavia Butler is an amazing futurist with incredible vision, except for that part where everyone cis and heterosexual.
What a great video! Thank you for reviewing all of this great Afrofuturist content 💕📣
I have clothes in the dryer while watching this lol. #becausewhynot
Wonderful to see you Njeri.
I love Parable of the Sower for the same reason. Nice review!
