I've always been a YA Fantasy type reading girlie, but I've recently decided to open up to more genres. I found your channel while searching for more black authors writing on things I may enjoy (like romance or mysteries/drama). I love how you give just enough detail of each recommendation to get me hooked on "Where is this story going?!" and encourage me to check it out. Im also a sucker for beautiful cover art, so if it's a book I think I'll be into and it has pretty cover art, I just go ahead and purchase! Have you ever heard of Book Outlet? I totally agree with you about both Seven Days in June and By The Book. Loved them both they both made an impression on me. Usually I'll like a romance if I can call it something else, gothic, or historical fiction, etc., but By The Book was the first book where I couldn't deny that I actually like romances. 😊 When I read it, I really needed a sweet little something to immerse myself in, and it did the trick.
Love the recommendations. I thought Seven Days in June was a good read, but I am looking forward to Before I Let Go.

I love Jasmine Gulliory! She’s the author that got me into romance books back in 2018. Seven Days In June was HEAVY and I had to put it down a few times but it was a top read of mine last year. Such a great list.
