Thank you so much for you channel Ive never been a big reader. However, Ive been attempting to expand on that. Thabks to your recommendations Ive been able to find books that fit me so perfectly. Thank you so much sista. Would you happen to know any afro fantasy with male leads?
Thanks for the book recommendations! I'm glad you shared some short story collections too. I recently read War Girls by Tochi Onyebuchi which was an AMAZING 5 star read. I would highly recommend. ๐
Dominion is how I discovered Suyi Davies Okungowa ๐คฉ
I've had an arc of Dominion for months now, so this was a great reminder to pick it up
I canโt wait to check out these recommendations ๐ญ

Thereโs a third volume of AfroSF, too! Iโve ordered all three. Thank you!
Love these recs!! ๐ซ
The first sf anthology I was introduced to is Dark Matter: A Century Of Speculative Fiction, I think you've mentioned it before, but I'm excited for that new suggestions!! I'm thinking a new theme for my book club๐๐

Yay, Ekpeki's Dominion anthology! My copy arrived recently, and I've also been looking forward to it. ๐
D.O. Fagunwa, Amos Tutuola, and Ayodele Olofintuade, and Francesca Ekwuyasi.

Helen Oyeyemi has been on my TBR for a while.
I also 2nd the recommendation for the short story collection 'What it Means when a Man Falls from the Sky' by Lesley Nneka Arimah
These look so interesting!
I meant to read Rosewater for a while now. And I just yesterday coincidentally got myself into a buddy read with another youtuber of it. ๐ Looking forward to this one.
๐ญโจ๐ญ
Always love a good rec video! ๐โญ๏ธ And I look forward to continuing the Wormwood trilogy- I read Rosewater and it gave me much to think about ๐
Great recommendations! ๐ญ
Thank you gingerbread and anthologies are going into my shpping basket ๐ญ

Enjoyed Dominion. Stories are generally gritty/ grim. I'd recommend Wizard of the Crow by Ngugi wa Thiong'o (contemporary Africanjujuism/ political satire, mostly world as we know it with fantastical or spiritual elements) or Palm Wine Drinkard by Amos Tutuola (classic Nigerian novel).

The accuracy of this title! Plus, I can't recommend Gingerbread enough. It was a favorite of mine the year I read it.

Oh this is great!
This is an awesome video! Do you also have recs for African fantasy books?
Please read Rosewater, it is so brilliant and Tade Thompson's mind is truly unmatched.
Triangulum is on my tbr as well.
Thanks for some great recommendations! ๐ญ

๐ญ I will add the Afro SF series and Dominion to my TBR.
Thank you awesome video. I have Afro SF, Rosewater and Gingerbread in my e-book library. I would love to read these and others that you mentioned with you. Thank you for exposing me to a whole new world ๐ญ
๐ โ๏ธ๐ Thanks for the recommendations!
The way I wrote down all the books you pulled and mentioned! Thank you so much for sharing so many amazing amazing books ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ. I would recommend What it Means When a Man Falls from the Sky by Lesley Nneka Arimah and the Half God of Rainfall by Inua Ellams. The former is an SFF anthology all written by the same author and the latter is a novella that is also brilliant!
Also, Hi Tomee ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ โจ ๐ญ
I really want to read more anthologies and collections so this is great! โจ
I found "Making wolf" in a local library. They have the bigest shelf with books in v.o. (again living in France…) I've seen in libraries here.
Thanks for the recomendations.๐๐
Thanks just got all 3 for my Kindle. Leaving in France it's the easiest way. I sawcther is a 3 part of Afrosf too.
