Welcome back! 🤗
This month I dedicated February to reading nothing but all black authors in honor of Black History Month… check out what I read!
Thanks for watching🩷
Check me out on Goodreads to see what I’m reading and my reviews in real time.

Great video! Your concern about the POV in the Neighbor Favor is relatable, but the opposite of what I usually experience: I have more difficulty reading first-person.
The Weight of Blood and Monday's Not Coming took me through it 😩. I agree with you about her endings, it's why I haven't gotten into Allegedly yet. It seems like Allegedly is most people's favorite out of all her work.
I love Christina C. Jones. If you like urban romance by a black author you should try Grey Huffington majority of her books are in a fictional town with mostly owned businesses.
Heyyy! I’m here because of your suggestion of “ the neighbor favor” and yessss!!! I’m almost done but I’m mad at how the ending is going… hoping for a turn around cause what!!!
hi, just found your channel!! my fave book of February was Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan. If you’re looking for more historical fiction by Black authors, I really loved Memphis by Tara M Stringfellow (:
New subscriber here ❤ I loved the Neighbor Favor!! Kristina Forest just came out with her new book The Partner Plot (which follows Lily's sister Violet and her reconnecting with a high school sweetheart)! I am definitely going to check out some of your recommendations. I love cute fluffy-ish stories 😊
I agree with Tiffany D Jackson books…they definitely grab you but the Endings just leave me feeling like my favorite series getting canceled…some ppl love it…I just can't lol
Hey Alia! your month was more balanced in terms of all the emotions you went through after reading those books. Some hard reads but also some fluffy ones.☺ I enjoyed Sadeqa Johnson's book. I read it last year. (The boy was white and Jewish! which was a double no no). Always a fun time watching you!
Great February wrap up! My book club will be reading A love song for Rickie Wild in April-I’ve heard mix reviews about it so we’ll see. I’ve read all of these in your wrap up but four( Their Vicious Games, The Weight of Blood, And then life was beautiful and Love Notes) I’m still thinking about Magnolia Parks-I’ve only read the first book 😳 Can’t wait to see your March TBR!!! 😊
It’s funny that with February being a short month I read more than I normally do as well. Also thank u for all the love on Goodreads❤ I absolutely love your content 😊
My 5 star reads in February Clytemnestra by constanza casanti Queen of the damned by Anne rice book 3 in the vampire chronicles Tales of the body thief by Anne rice book 4 in the vampire chronicles The hurricane wars by thea guanzon The urgent life by Bozoma saint John memoir
I read The Stolen Daughter as well this month. It was good, but 50 pages in, I thought wow this sums up the whole book. I didn't expect what was to come throughout the book. I loved your haul. I'm definitely going to check out both books.
I really enjoyed your video. And Then Life Was Beautiful was good. I also enjoyed Love Notes, I listened to that one on audiobook. The Mixtape was pretty good. Give that one a try. Fast was soooo good. You had a really good line up this month 😊

Though Maame wasn’t a fave of mine it touched on so many topics you’ll never run out of things to discuss whether you love it or hate it
Loved ❤ House of Eve.. Yellow wife is a great read. Sadeqa Johnson is a amazing writer.
New to your channel currently watching on the treadmill. Adding you to my black booktuber playlist ♥️

"The Circle Of Emotions" by Authoress Hurricane, "Lush" and Titiana"s Series by Author E. G. Weeks
I read Good Morning, Love by Ashley Coleman (black author) and it was alright. Rated it 2.75. It was a debut so, to be expected lol.
The cover for Maame is so cute
Omg I’m so excited for Love Songs for Ricki Wilde!
I heard of Fast first from Heather McLarry’s videos and it’s on my tbr but idk if I’ll be able to read it lol. Seems heavy obviously.
And Then Life Was Beautiful sounds like a great book.
Is the Neighbor Favor over the top with the miscommunication? Thank you.😊
